Dinesh Dhamija is a British-Indian entrepreneur and investor best known as the founder of ebookers, one of Europe’s pioneering online travel agencies. Starting from a small ticket kiosk in Earl’s Court in London, he grew the business into a pan-European group listed on major stock exchanges, before completing a successful exit to a global travel operator in the mid-2000s.
Following the sale of ebookers, Dinesh established the Copper Beech Group, through which he has been involved in residential real estate development in Romania, education initiatives in India and a number of investments in high-impact sectors.
Alongside his business career, Dinesh has also been active in public life. He served as a Member of the European Parliament for the London region, focusing on trade, international relations and Europe’s role in the global transition towards cleaner, more resilient energy systems.
With Copper Beech Group, Dinesh brings a long-term, value-driven approach to energy and urban infrastructure. The platform aims to connect institutional capital, best-in-class technology providers and strong local development teams, in order to deliver bankable projects that combine financial performance with measurable decarbonisation impact.
The strategy focuses on utility-scale renewable generation (Solar PV, BESS and Green Hydrogen), grid-supporting assets such as BESS and hybrid plants, and integrated energy solutions for data centers, industrial clients and urban regeneration schemes. Romania represents a key geography within this strategy, acting as a bridge between Western Europe and fast-growing markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Structures financial models and investment cases, manages engagement with infrastructure funds, lenders and strategic co-investors, and supports contract and risk allocation.
